In the spirit of Halloween and the giving of candy, I’ve decided not to wait longer and give out some candy of my own. Not for your mouth but for your ears. I’ve posted up the links to the Gwen Stefani Hollaback Girl and Katy Perry California Gurls remixes on the music page. They are free to download without having to register. How can you pass up some free mp3′s? The answer is….you can’t.
Who’d have thought that pop music can sound good?
Enjoy and drive sober tonight!
In the members section in the forum are the links to the Gwen Stefani Hollaback Girl and Katy Perry California Gurls remixes. If you don’t want to wait a week for the links to be public, sign up for an account and get them now!
Enjoy!
I’ve done some small site updates in preparation in adding more Face Palm pop industrialized mixes to the site and the poll for an upcoming mix. I’ve added in more links and updated some pages for current content and added in better file management. Enjoy the added content and features added.
Soon, likely this week, the Gwen Stefani mix and Katy Perry mix will be online in the members section in the forum followed closely by a poll of pop songs to be mixed. I’m going to be doing another mix while the poll runs to give time for people to vote on what track to mix. That should give enough time to get a good sample size on the poll for the track selection. I hope that the direct feedback will work out and that the future will bring other direct fan feedback into the music creation process. Involving fans directly into the creative process is something I’m very interested in pursuing.
I’ve finished the first mix down of both tracks and they are:
Katy Perry ft. Snoop Dogg – California Gurls
Gwen Stefani – Hollaback Girl
They are progressing very well so far. After long runs under headphones, the mixing is off but will be easily fixed. When the tracks are finally completed, I’m going to put them in the forum members section first. After a couple weeks there, I’ll link them up on the main page, facebook, myspace, vampire freaks and anywhere else that CIR has an account.
If you want to get in on the action early, sign up on the message board and in the members section you’ll find the posts containing the links to download. There isn’t much time left before they are going to be up. I’m just giving my ears some time off to readjust so that a better mix can be achieved.
I’m also putting up a poll in the forum and on the main page to see what track I will cover next. If I can find an acapella of it, I’ll do the track in the lead position. If I can’t find one, I’ll keep going down the list based on votes until I get a track that has an acapella released for it.
In the mean time, enjoy the tracks that are online and sign up on the message board so you’re able to download the 2 new tracks when they are finished but before I give up the links to the general public.
Cheers

I’ve had nothing better to do…. and, well, I’m putting together a series of covers or mixes of pop tracks industrialized just for the fun of it. I’ve been able to get a couple top pop track vocal cuts and will be doing the rest. Lady Gaga already done, though I might work on it some more. Next up, Katy Perry and Gwen Stefani.
Progress on both is going well aside from my ears being sore from too much headphone usage in too short of time. Mix down, previews within the week and online, what, mid month? Seems possible!
Cheers
